Here are the vocabulary words for Chapter 7 of To Kill A Mocking Bird

moody- in depression
Eg: He has been very moody for the past couple of weeks.
flunked-failed (especially in an exam)
Eg: Just a year ago, Striker flunked out of school.
gnats- a various amount of small, two-winged flies
Eg: There were gnats flying around the rubbish bin.
shuddered- to shiver from fear
Eg: I entered the dark, errie room. Terrified, I shuddered.
*perpetual-everlasting
Eg: Jason and Riley and a perpetual friendship.
*embalming- treating a dead body with preservatives
Eg: The man was embalming the dead bodies.
crude- lacking culture (note that word "culture" here means manners)
Eg: His behaviour was very crude.
*tarnished- discoloration due to corrosion
Eg: The peice of metal was tarnished.
burdensome- troublesome
Eg: It was very burdensome to move around the entire building to transport goods.
